Spaghetti Arrabbiata

Spaghetti Arrabbita is a healthy meal option for busy days . This quick and easy to make pasta in red sauce is our house favorite too.

  • 1.5 cups assorted vegetables*
  • 1 clove of grated fresh garlic
  • 1/4 package of whole wheat spaghetti * or pasta of your choice would be 2 cups dry pasta
  • 1.5 cups prepared pasta sauce*
  • 1/4 cup or more milk *
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • handful of fresh basil leaves optional


  • Cook the pasta according to the package by adding salt t boiling water.
  • Coat it liberally with olive oil ,black pepper and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a non stick pan
  • Sautee the garlic and desired veggies for a minute
  • Add pasta sauce and cook for a minute
  • Add milk and cook it for a minute
  • Taste test and adjust seasoning .
  • Remember the pasta sauce already has seasoning
  • Add the boiled spaghetti and coat well
  • Top with fresh herbs and grated cheese if desired

You can skip milk and add cheese instead or add both
You can use any veggies on hand like bellpeppers , zucchini, broccoli , sweet corn , onions , olives
Use any pasta type if you don't have spaghetti
